Do you know when the first pair of jeans for women was designed? The first year we could wear a complete look with jeans, for women, was 1934. But the reason it's been so groundbreaking in the 21st century is because of the most desirable woman on film. Who am I talking about?
I'll tell you later... ;--)
She was the one who gave the cowboy that unique sensual touch that captivated us and still holds true today. And we bet it'll never lose! Do you agree with us?
Whether you agree or not, what thousands and millions of women have made clear, decade after decade, is that they are a must-have in our wardrobes. Is it precisely because they never go out of style? Their fabric is durable, versatile, and can be combined in any season... Or is it because no garment has brought about a social and feminine revolution comparable to that of this type of pants?
It democratized fashion and shouted loud and clear: "Away with discrimination based on age, nationality, and sex!" It went from being indispensable in the toughest working sectors to becoming a sign of rebellion, a banner of support for the working class, and a symbol of women's liberation.
How can you give up having a pair of jeans ready to wear? Whether skinny, oversized , flared, straight, long, or ankle-length. Or one of each, please!
The question is, do we know all its possibilities?
If you need new ideas for styling your jeans or are tired of being told how to wear them, check out this article. Break away from any established norms and rewrite your own rules.
But first we have to confess something important to you…
Denim: The Most Polluting Fabric in Your Wardrobe?
How could we not want a pair of jeans always available in our wardrobe? How could we not include them in our collections?
Very simple. Because denim is one of the most polluting fabrics. Did you know? The most optimistic say that 3,000 bottles of water are needed to make a pair of jeans. Others say 8,000, and many say more than 11,000.
The fact is that before you put on a pair of jeans, they've already drunk all the water you consume in four years. Water that, because of them, gushes out of manufacturing plants already dyed and turns rivers into a toxic poison. Not to mention the amount of polluting particles released every time you wash them.
So when we founded Elisa Muresan, we had one thing clear: we promised sustainable pants .
We only work with denim-type fabrics to reduce their footprint. That's why our denim is made from organic cotton and always GOTS-certified . This prestigious eco-label guarantees closed-loop processing, no toxic chemicals, and 90% less water consumption. There's still work to be done, but it's a good start, don't you think?
Now, let's get to those denim looks...
Need some new ideas for pairing jeans? An inspiring story.
Jeans, denim, denim... Whatever you call them, this immortal garment is the oldest in your wardrobe. But you might not be getting the most out of it. Can we help you?
So, let us first tell you a few lines about the story of its thousand names, and start imagining new ideas for combining them.
Did you know that the English word Jeans has nothing to do with English?
You heard right. Jeans actually comes from Genoa, Italy, where the first version of this fabric was invented in the 17th century. And the name of its fabric, Denim , comes from Nimes, the city that saw it grow and dressed its French army in it. From there to Levi Strauss, a German immigrant who brought it to the US in the 19th century for miners, cowboys, and Texans . Until he reached stardom with Jeans Dean and...
And Marilyn Monroe , that famous blonde we challenged you to guess at the beginning of this article. And she'll never go out of style.
Are you already thinking of new ways to style it to honor its past?
Then just keep reading to put those ideas into practice and get inspired by these tips and amazing looks. Break the rules with jeans and discover eco-friendly fashion options.
Tips for combining your jeans
To get the most out of these tips, I suggest one thing:
Take a mental look at your wardrobe. Picture the t-shirts, shirts and blouses, jackets, sweaters and coats, sneakers, shoes, boots, flats, and sandals you already own. Oh, and don't forget your bags, belts, and other accessories!
Do you have them all in your head yet?
So we're ready to make our denim looks the center of attention. Especially if they're eco-friendly and ethical jeans . And they deserve it. They do so much for us. Let's get started...

1. When it comes to jeans, there are no rules. Rewrite your own!
Come on, if you're having one of those days when you're not sure what to wear, let your jeans come to the rescue.
They're capable of getting you out of any "What should I wear?" or "What should I pair it with?" predicament. They simply go with everything, whether it's hot or cold, season after season. From classic jeans with a white T-shirt and blazer, to oversized , more fitted, long, or short pieces. In short, with almost any garment you can imagine.
But let's give you an example to help you break away from the norm and create your own combinations. Let's talk about shoes with jeans.
You already know that jeans look great with sporty, retro, or casual sneakers, but what about with heels? Or with espadrilles, combat boots, or sandals. Try it! Go from one extreme to the other and you'll see the results.
2. Over with Over. Combine your oversized jeans with an oversized top.
Have you ever heard the saying, "You have to wear a tight shirt with baggy pants," or vice versa? I'm sure you have.
The loose-fitting or fitted-loose contrast is a valid option, but it doesn't have to be that way. Have you tried over-and-over? We love pairing wide-legged pants with equally loose tops. And our customers, once they try it, don't want to take it off.
It's flattering and very liberating.
So if you have oversized jeans, try them with flared, boxy, oversized, or layered tees. Loose-fitting clothes also work well on top. Try wide-leg jeans with wide leg, make them your own, and fall in love!

Got it? Then try something else: tuck the hem of your jeans into a double or long turn-up to give them a new look. Like the effect? Pairing them with espadrilles, flat sandals, or boots will give them a different, groundbreaking look.
3. Sailor Cowboy. Long live the stripes!
Don't tell me you don't love jeans with a striped T-shirt. Why do they look so good? It's that I don't know what , that makes our instincts jump when we love something. And when the stomach or the heart speaks, they're absolutely right: they look great.

4. Contrast, color festival or knitted jumpsuit?
The characteristic deep blue of classic denim has many advantages. Among them, if you're ever worried about anything, you can create a complete denim outfit that always works. Pair your jeans with a denim shirt or denim jacket in the same shade. Or create more or less intense variations of the same color. This way, you ensure a chromatic balance that definitely looks great.
And if you prefer to combine them with bright colors, you won't have a headache either, I assure you. Jeans lend themselves to any color festival. Just measure your emotions and let yourself go.

5. Who said you can't dress elegantly in jeans?
Elegant, festive, or more cozy. With or without accessories.
Sometimes, a shirt, a blazer, or a pair of nice heels are enough to make you the most elegant girl at the party in jeans. Or you can use a bag, belt, jewelry, or costume jewelry to give your look a special shine and personality. You know this better than anyone. The important thing? Whatever you wear, never feel like you're in disguise.

6. If you want to travel without a suitcase, choose…
Has this ever happened to you? You have a two-day trip and don't want to bring a suitcase. If you're one of us, here's one more note to finish.
The travel garment you're looking for is a pair of jeans. The companion that stains the least (and hides the most), doesn't wrinkle, and is the most versatile for whatever unexpected event or occasion, day or night.
Looking for an online store for eco-friendly jeans?
Ours, we're told, have an extraordinary ability: they bring out the best in you. But there's only one way to find out: try them on! And either way, don't even think about throwing away the jeans you already have!
First, try out all the combinations you've written down with them. And before you buy the t-shirt, sweater, or jacket you're missing to make the perfect combination... Before that, stop and think:
- Do I really need to buy new clothes? You might already have something in your closet that, even if it's not the same, could still work for you. It's the most sustainable option.
- Where do I buy my new jeans or that matching item? If you need new jeans or another item to pair with jeans, always shop for truly sustainable stores or brands.
